If you read my posts above you will see that there were at least 2 "wives" but possibly they were never married.
Sarah died 1834
Sylvia died 1848

That's great, so Thomas is the son of Absolom, he will be easier to trace. Now for Silvia, I can't see a marriage for Thomas Smith and Silvia
