a commission was issued to William Hall, lawfully appointed as surrogate,
on behalf of Mary, Martha, and Grace Hall, the natural and legitimate daughters of John Hall
of Sheffield but within the City of London, deceased,
to administer the goods, rights, and credits of the said deceased,
pending or relating to the execution of his will during the minority
of the aforesaid Mary, Martha, and Grace Hall, the aforementioned minors,
because Thomas Hall and George Hall, named in the same will,
for certain just and lawful reasons that moved them in this matter, renounced [their role].
He was sworn on the Holy Evangelists of God
