Lt J Judson, possibly from Durham?
« on: Sunday 23 March 25 12:05 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to trace various court-martialled officers, and have hit a wall with J. Judson, who was acquitted of 'indecency' in April 1918. He was a lieutenant in the 4th battalion, Durham Light Infantry. Unfortunately of course it's quite a common name (I suspect his first name was John, which doesn't help). Can anyone work a miracle?

Shaun, as stated before, you are literally a wizard! I've been crawling through the Gazette without success for the last hour.
Many thanks, I can push him forward now.

I was drawn to this item in the Newcastle Daily Chronicle, 21 Mar 1918

Hi, thank you so much for these two references! I have found his Canadian service record -- his family emigrated and he joined the CEF before transferring to the British army. On we go!

Good luck.
Meant to add - there's such detail in the CEF records.
