Daniel Finch Brown Census 1861
« on: Thursday 20 March 25 17:25 GMT (UK) »
Shown as a ship's master on a 172 T Mediterranean Trader. Census IOW and off the Island of Sardina.
It states he was bown in Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1817. Is it possible that his parents were Mary Anne Mundy and Edward Finch Brown, who married at West Cowes.

The 1861 says Yarmouth Isle of Wight, not Norfolk
It states he was bown in Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1817.

Thank you for correcting me. Do know when Daniel's father, Edward Finch Brown was born. Is it possible to obtain the Naval records for Daniel.

Naval records?  I haven't seen any Royal Navy records for Daniel.

For his merchant navy service 1830-1851 see the Ancestry image that I linked to previously. Probably the same record is to be found in this download from TNA:

Thank yoou shaun. I have opened tThe National Archives, for  Daniel Finch Brown. Most interesting.
I have tried to find the marriage details of Elizabeth & John Brown, the parents of Edward Finch Brown, born Yarmouth IOW 1783. I think he was their only child.
