The marriage of James Bradley and Martha Swindells 12 Jan 1834 was at Stockport, (unless you've also found it in the Disley registers). They were both of the parish of Disley. Bachelor and spinster.
No parents' names. or ages.
There's a death registration of a James Bradley in 1883, registration district Stockport, under which Disley probably came at that time, aged 67, which may be him. Added: Not him. See below.
A couple in the Civil Registration indexes for Martha Bradley in the 1860s. (James is a widower by 1871).
A Martha Swindells was buried at Disley 8 Dec 1866 aged 67. residence Hague Bar - a mile NE of Disley.
Also a John Swindells at Hague Bar 13 Sept 1868 aged 78, so that Martha may relate to this John.
James Bradley buried 24th Sept 1887 at Disley, aged 74.
Also Edwin Bradley 7 Dec 1887 at Disley aged 32.
This must be the son who was on the 1881 Census.
Disley register transcripts are on this site:
http://www.disley.net/disley_pr.htmlhttp://www.disley.net/disley_burials/disley_burials.htmlIt would be well worth while you going through them again, as I'e only done it very quickly.
And I haven't checked the baptisms or marriages.
Charlotte Swindells was buried 19 nov 1862, aged 76 at Disley, which makes a birth year of 1786, as found above. Bingo!
Lots for you to research.
