I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some idea of what this is about, it is from The hundred of Launditch and deanery of Brisley : in the county of Norfolk : evidences and topographical notes from public records, heralds' visitations, wills, court rolls, old charters, parish registers, town books, and other private sources : digested and arranged as materials for parochial, manorial, and family history / collected by G.A. Carthew and this part is in Bigod's fief.

The only land mentioned is the manor of Wissingset.

It begins with something like the announcement of the leaving/passing/expiring of Herbert Bozoun, who I think came with King William at the conquest.

Take this with a huge amount of salt - I suspect the record is from much later, so the mention of Herbert is probably less literal than I make it sound.  I may also have simply misunderstood the first line.

Then there is essentially a pedigree, recording that different Bozouns were born of other Bozouns, that they came (I think signifying coming to the Manor Court for admission to the manor); that they died; that others were their son and heir etc, etc.

It's very extensive and will need great care to tease out the correct relationships.

I'd be surprised if this information isn't already available in books, peerages and county histories.

It looks like Herbert must have come later than William the Conqueror. According to the site below, "this appears to be a mistake." Herbert or Hubert was living at the time of King Stephen (about 1140s). His son Roger was living in 1202. Roger's son Peter was living in 1227.
