Children of Vincent Swallow and Nellie Ayto

Vincent Swallow and Nellie Ayto married at Grantham in 1928.....They had a daughter, Patricia A Swallow, born 1929 and died 1936.....I am trying to find out if they had another daughter, born around 1934.....this daughter possibly went on to marry a local businessman and Justice of the Peace, but I can find no record of her......I am beginning to wonder if she was adopted....I should point out that all (apart from the JP) are now deceased......Any help appreciated.....

Do you know where she was in 1939?

Doesn't seem to be a birth registration for more Swallow/Ayto children.

As she is deceased can you name her?

The 1939 register does show a third person in the Swallow household, but is "blacked out" and therefore assumed to be still alive.

Looks like there is an obituary for Vincent died 1974 which might name family.

Yes, thanks for that,
 just seen the 1939 register and I'm assuming that it IS her......I would rather not name her, as she has only recently died.....I just find it strange that there is no birth record for her.......

That's fine with not naming her. 

Her marriage, if you can find one, should have a fathers name to confirm but am guessing you haven't found that either 

You could be right and she was adopted perhaps after their own daughter passed away.

No, I am still trying to confirm that she WAS a distant relative of ours.....purely to fill in gaps in the family tree.........
