Peter J Anderson death 1980

 Goodmorning   I have been searching for Peter's death in the NZ Herald and on BDM records without success. He was a  teacher at Auckland Grammar School and died suddenly at a school Soccer match in term three 1980.  I have some informationfrom AGS School list 1980 but would like to follow up  on the details. What does the "J" initial of Peter's name, represent ??

(He would need to have been aged 80 years or over, (@ today's date), to appear on the NZ Death Index).

 Sorry i dont know what the J initial stands for. I was hoping someone would be able to locate a death notice from the NZ Herald. My sons who were his pupils at the time  attended his  funeral service at St Patrick's Cathedra in Auckland. He was a young teacher and his death was over 55 years ago so he just might qualify for the Death Index. Thanks orkrad

Q :  What information do you already have from AGS 1980 list ??   

[I tried searching that online and kept getting warning messages about AGS sites being blocked due to phishing.  ]

"New Zealand Herald" and other Auckland area newspapers are not yet available to be searched online for the year you are wanting.   
If someone were to volunteer to go to a repository to look through newspaper death notices, then they would require to have an exact (or very near to) date of death. 

Also you've said > 1980 > and "55 years ago"  ??    (1980 is in fact only 45 years ago).

I've also looked at cemeteries/cremation records for Auckland / also searching "Andersen" as alternative / Archives NZ for possible probate record.     Nothing is jumping out I'm afraid.

Also didn't see any mention on AGS website where there are obituaries for former teachers/old boys etc.

Had just been about to post the correction to his middle name. 

Found earlier > burial at Mangere Cemetery > and Electoral roll prior years > Peter Joseph ANDERSON > showed he was a "school teacher".
