In my opinion, we have now found the correct family, and parents for your George Williamson, and confirmed this through shared addresses on various documents.
George’s parents’ death certificates are both available and should give you the names of George’s grandparents. Are you able to let us know who they are?

We have established that your George was probably never married to Jane Peel, and we haven’t found a death certificate for George.

It is also difficult to see a death in Scotland for his brother William (with the extensive prison records). His other siblings seem to be traceable.
I wonder if George and William ended up moving away (either together or separately) to England, Ireland or further abroad?
That would be something to consider for future research. In my glancing at records, I did notice that some members of the extended Williamson family had gone to Canada & USA.

I am fairly sure that Adam Williamson had a brother named James also living in Glasgow. There may have been other siblings that you find as you research further.

James Williamson

1841 living in Green Street a few doors away from his brother Adam

Note – A niece named Margaret Williamson who might be followed to see if you can find other family connections in Ireland.

In 1861 census – They are still at 34 Clyde St, with the daughter Ellen.

James Williamson died 1st Sept 1866 (age 68) in Calton.

His wife Agnes (nee Shields) died 15 Feb 1863 (age 62) in Calton.
