I emailed the stepping-stones support team from the link of their web site when I had a query and found tyhem extremely helpful - if you think you've located the film you want they may be able to tell you when it will be available.

PS Seemed to be Rimmers on every page in the area I was searching - Altcar, Ince Blundell etc.

I have also been searching the Altcar/Formby pages, looking for Dickinsons - they are everywhere.  Each family appears to use the same christian names for their children !!!!

I am also searching for Dickinson/Dickenson in this area. My ancestor is Alice Dickenson born about 1821 in Lydiate who married James Lowe in 1843 - any connection? Even if not if you come across her I would be grateful if you could let me know

Re Dickinson family - my husbands tree -

I have only got back, with certainty ,to Joseph Dickinson born 1841 Formby.  His parents were Peter and Catherine Dickinson, both born circa 1815 Formby.
However the Dickinson branches were all over Formby and Altcar, so maybe connected to Lydiate also!!

my family of dickinsons were from lancashire ince Peter Dickinson  b 1835, this was my g g g grandfather, Peter was married to Martha ?
On the 1901 Census it shows them as living a 1 Grainger street Wingate county durham.  By this time he was registered as disabled, and they had 4 children.  If any relation please reply

I assume that by 'Ince' You meant Ince Blundell but the only Dickinsons in Ince Blundell in 1841 were:


John aged 13 (I think!) who was working for James Atherton, Farmer.

John, aged 15 who was working for Christ. Houghton, Farmer
