Good evening everyone.
I'm going through a part of my tree that I haven't worked on for many many years. And now that I'm looking at it, I've noticed there are a lot more resources and data sets online than when I worked on this branch last.
I've noticed that one ancestor I MIGHT have overlooked something. I only had 2 days at the Derbyshire RO years ago, and now with parish registers online I'm questioning my research.
William Harlow married Amy Aldred at Duffield on 12 Aug 1782. They had one child baptised at Atlow in 1785, Charles. The rest of the children were baptised at Breadsall. Hannah 1784, John 1790, George 1792, Edward 1795 and twins Mary and Sarah 1799.
Looks like there were complications at the birth as Amy was buried 20 Sep 1799 with Sarah following on 3 Oct and Mary on the 6th. Looks like William remarried in 1803 to Ellen Cauldwell at All Saints Church in Derby. And died in 1845, and buried at Breadsall.
The above is accurate, BUT..... I had initially had Williams baptism down as 22 Feb 1761 at Ashbourne. But now, I've found another possible baptism at Bradley for 19 May 1760.
I've tried to follow what happened to the Bradley William, but cant find anything of use.
Is anyone able to help me follow this Bradley clue, or give me some pointers how I would differentiate the two? Been working on this all afternoon using Ancestry, FindMyPast, FreeREG and Familysearch.
Any help gratefully received. Thanks.
