Agree Officer Cadet.
The cap badge could be that of an Officer Cadet Btn. or his
original Regt. as he would have been drawn from the ranks.

Have you a name for him??
I have an original complete run of the Army Lists for ww1
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

Hi - I posted this for another family history society member. She has a name (Dudley Black) but all the potential matches we've found are too young. Her gt-aunt was engaged to this man and she was born in 1874. I've come to the conclusion now that Dudley was a middle name
