Hi Sandra. That’s a great find, yes I’m sure it’s the right George Dronfield? In 1881 Matthew Gregory was boarding with Ann & family (no George) so wondering if Ann divorced George & set up with Matthew after George went to prison and married him in 1890. Many thanks

Hi Sandra. I note the Article is dated 29 March 1873 but the trial was set 7 March 1863. Was he acquitted after 10 years in prison?…….interesting. Regards

He was acquitted on the 1863 one.

1873 - assault and robber got 10 years.  There was a gap from charged 5 th March 73 to the case being heard until sentence 27th March
