Where did William go?
« on: Thursday 27 February 25 12:34 GMT (UK) »
Returning to my family tree after many years...
Ive lost track of William Kemp b 28.9.1906 Camberwell
He is in the 1921 with mother and siblings in Holbeck Row, working as a messenger boy but nothing after that-no marriage, military record, death or move abroad that I can find
His family had moved to Ascot in the 1939 register

Any ideas?

have you eliminated the marriage of William S Kemp to  Doris E Parsley in Blyth district 1937. It looks like they are in Suffolk in 1939, William has correct dob
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

I found this too but the image of the register the dob is actually 25th not 28th.

Thanks for hunting
I imagine he stayed in Camberwell when his family moved to Ascot where they lived in a hotel/ boarding house but I can't find him in the 1939. And no military record so it made me wonder if he emigrated..

There are a number of William Kemps of the right sort of age on passenger lists emigrating before 1939.
