Maria Olley - Trial 1900
« on: Saturday 22 February 25 11:52 GMT (UK) »
Happy Saturday,

I'm trying to find a newspaper article regarding my great great grandmother, Maria Olley who was on trial for GBH towards her husband (James) and another lady (Mary Miles) in Notting Dale, the first but not the last time she attacked James.

I have a newspaper article from 19th October 1900 in the West London Observer, and an ancestry record stating the date of the trial (24th October 1900) and the outcome, but can't find anything in the newspaper regarding the trial.

I hope that makes sense!

There is an article about this in the London Daily Chronicle of 13th October 1900 - if you have access.

British Newspaper Archive, so I assume it's on Find My Past.

Article is named 'Behind the Scenes' and begins with another case.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.
