Shwd mae/Hi
Unsure if anyone can help with this.
I'm trying to determine if the the two men in the photos are the same person.
Can anyone help with some 'photo comparison' software?
Any help would be great.
Diolch/Thanks

It’s not a definite no but I’d be happier to say they could be related rather than that they were the same man.
The fuller face of the man on the right in the image below can be explained away by time differences.
But I think the man on the right has fleshier ears; note how much of the lobe of his left ear is visible.
Note how the eyebrows of the man on the right come together over his nose. Now despite the other man’s eyebrows appearing quite dark, they don’t seem to join up.
I also think the man on the right has a less pointy nose than the man on the left.
And, if you can imagine him turning his head to the same extent as the man on the left, I think you would see a less deep chin on the man on the right, with some flesh below the jaw bone making it look larger in the image.
Finally, I think that the hat on the man on the left is hiding a lower forehead and crown than that displayed by the man on the right.
This post will also move your request up the board where more people should see it and add their thoughts.

I agree with Peter. Mainly because of the ear lobes.
Added. The man with the cap perhaps looks more like Humphrey’s brother Hugh? (Ancestry tree)
Changed my mind. Earlobes again

I would agree not the same person either. One has a much fuller face plus the eyebrow observations already mentioned.

I agree with all the above comments too, not the same man. Particularly the eyebrows.

Related, maybe brothers with the same smallish nose, a longish philtrum on both, the same shaped and spaced eyes, same cheekbones, similar posture.
But the ears, jaw, mouth and eyebrows are different.

Thanks for all of the comments, all valid points.
I was thinking he may be a brother, but having looked at photos of his brothers on Ancestry, none of them really look alike! Hoping that ancestry DNA will throw up a few other matches in time.

here is ChatGPT answer:
Similarities:
Facial Structure: Both individuals have a similar strong jawline and prominent cheekbones.
Nose Shape: The nose in both images appears to be somewhat similar in width and structure.
Lip Shape: The lips in both images seem to have a similar fullness and curve.
Overall Build: The individuals appear to have a similar face width and general head shape.
Based on the visible facial similarities (jawline, nose, and lip shape) but considering the differences in hairstyle, clothing, and image quality, I would estimate the likelihood that these two images depict the same person to be around 65-75%.
