I assume you will have addressed your query to that website ?  Seems a good place to start.  I recall that their 1911 census was available before 2011, so maybe it is imminent ?  Or try census.nationalarchives.ie .

No one knows, it varies from year to year, last year 13th of February, year before 13th of March. Best year was 2020 the 8th of January, worst 2018 no update.

Don’t worry you’ll notice when it happens just keep an eye on the Ireland forum.

when it occurs will appear on the site itself as news https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/news

and likely in the unobviously named thread Is it Still "Early 2019"?
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=813099.msg7527680#msg7527680

The site is due a makeover as announced by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht 1 Oct 2024 on Facebook (in response to user communication about it being inaccessible for a day or two).
"The irishgenealogy.ie website is now fully functional again...Work is underway on a new, improved site which will be live in the coming months."

The update & new interface may happen simultaneously.

The date of release is very variable, I'm hoping it'll be soon.

I hope any new, "improved" version of the site will actually be an improvement, unlike the awful "improved" version of the Irish censuses on the nationalarchives.ie site.

I agree, we are at the mercy of the Irish civil service, ministers & their IT. They didn't seem to have asked for any input from frequent users, groups/associations, or the professional consultants before they made the autumn announcement. The new census website seemed to just appear with no prior rumours - which renders all links from subscription sites dead when the old gets switched off in a few months, as their banner suggests will happen.
Non-connecting links from Ancestry, Findmypast, MyHeritage, Familysearch, in all trees - who thought that would be a good plan?

The 1901 and 1911 census returns were available for decades before 2001 and 2011, so that is not something to go by.

Surely its more that the census and the GRO BMD images are different kettles of fish on different sites and reply 1 should just be ignored (apart from the email suggestion).
GRO England & Wales and Scotlands GRO also both update their index data annually for recent data, but not on a fixed or prior-published date. GRONI releases all data that falls within the 100/75/50 year cut-offs every midnight.

The 1926 Census of Ireland is being released in 2026 as undertaken under different laws to previous ones. Those had been photographed by the LDS & were available on film before they appeared online (the 1901 index and images following the 1911). If you recall the 1911 census of England and Wales was also able to be released several years early after appeal, whilst the 1921 Census of England and Wales had 100 years set in stone and could not be. Petitions to release the Irish 1926 early fell on deaf ears.
