I phoned Oakland Cemetery again today and I missed their opening times by five minutes so I left them a message. I was enquiring about the death of Irvine B.Johnston, who died January 22, 1916. He is not John Caldwell Johnston’s son, but might be his brother who was married to Jane Monaghan.

George Johnstone died Sept 3, 1883 in Brooklyn as per findagrave.

sorry, in 1841, in Gorbals, Lanarkshire, it has the same children in the same birth order as in 1860 in New York for George Johnston and Jane “Doin”. William B is 4, Elizabeth F is 3, Hellen is 2, and Jane is 4 months. Could that be Elizabeth Fish?
