« on: Monday 10 February 25 14:50 GMT (UK) »
I am helping a friend with the FT looking for the Baptism or any other information before 1871 when Stephenson Steed  born Antirm c 1847 appears on the 1871 UK Census in Seaforth Litherland Liverpool (please note I can follow the family after this date .

He married in 1869 in the UK occupation Police Constable father listed as John Steed Farmer.

Any help would be appreciated Thanks Margie

There's a newspaper entry from 16 July 1863 residence Belfast for Constable Stephenson Steed but I can't read the details.

Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Do you mean he married in England? Ireland was part of the U.K. as indeed County Antrim still is.

There were a few farmers called John Steed in Co. Antrim.

Letters of Administration of the personal estate of John Steed late of Craigs County Antrim Farmer deceased who died 23 June 1879 at same place were granted at Belfast [7 Sept.1881] to Robert Steed of Craigs Farmer a Child of said deceased. Effects £136 12s. 6d.

Letters of Administration of the personal estate of John Steed late of Glenhue County Antrim Farmer who died 28 April 1877 at same place were granted at Belfast [18 May 1888] to Eliza Steed of Glenhue the Widow. Effects £374 0s. 3d.

The Will of John Steed late of Skerry East County Antrim Farmer who died 11 June 1888 at same place was proved at Belfast [13 Feb.1889] by Thomas Alcken and John Maxwell both of Skerry East Farmers the Executors. Effects £84. Will mentions 6 daughters andtwo sons, Robert & John.
