Passenger List Abbrieviation
« on: Saturday 08 February 25 10:44 GMT (UK) »
Looking at an incoming passenger list for the HMT Empire Clyde from Singapore to Liverpool in 1953, a significant number of passengers, including the people I am interested in, have an address of c/o E.S.O. Liverpool.

I am assuming it is a military department, but have been unable to find out what it stands for.

(A number of other passengers say c/o R.A.F. Liverpool but this is more self explanatory.)

Can anyone help please?

Thank you, that makes more sense. My googling kept bringing up Symphony Orchestras!
