It's been a very dull, damp miserable day here in Dublin today.
For us, there's a black bin for non recyclable waste, a green bin for paper, cardboard and plastic, and a smaller brown bin for food and garden waste. The black bin is collected every 2nd week, and the other 2 on the alternate week.

Weather in IOM very similar to Dublin.

I live in a terrace of Victorian town houses, mostly converted to flats. There isn't enough room for every flat to have multiple bins.
So we have a series of large communal wheely bins - paper, cardboard, glass, tins, plastic bottles.
Problem is, they are all in the back lane, which is accessed by 9 concrete steps
And, after every collection the bins get further away.

Not good when I use a walker!
If the bins remain near my back gate, I can hobble to them.

Well, here’s me trying to post photographs of our  new - ish baby .Lily, and knew really that is not allowed, problem solved.

A cold rainy day here.
Did a big shop and a delivery on Monday too so all stocked  up.
Had Ratatouille for tea ,well a version, but lots of peppers, courgettes, onions
no aubergines available but they were not missed .
Had cheesy rolls with it.

Our Yorkshire Farm is on again  renovating  nearby derelict farmhouse - Auntie John’s..Ananda looks ill, drawn and thin.
Sad ,they seemed a good solid couple too but something has changed.

Well , kitchen tidy ,did my bedroom today -  a big tidy really, this house is nothing like as dirty as the old house used to get ,much further from any busy roads, much easier but how I miss the space and storage .
Well shed installed, seems so big and how  I shall  mis my lovely sunny patio
but I will get used to it .
I find nowadays I get very stressed about not much at all , strange isn’t it .
Not  me really.
Got a letter today from the Eye clinic at Rochdale , after the wrong prescription for my heart at Fairfield Hospital Bury , it is not forvglaucoma patients !- nor underactive  thyroid patients nor nor those who have had a recent heart attack! I was given it the next day.
Have been asked to make a formal complaint via PALS but Inam reluctant given the care I am getting .
It has however affected my eyes.
Back on drops which have to be ten times a day ,and another every two hours,it says nothing about getting some sleep ———-however the ones ten times a day are only for eight weeks ——- yippee.

Oh dear, but I am not in a war zone, not poverty stricken ,have good children and grandchildren ,lovely great grandchildren .

Well another week in the offing ,they do fly by.
Hope you are all warm and feel safe,I know there are many with health issues. We are stoics really ,our generation generally are.

Cheerio. Got a good boom to read ,perhaps I have mentioned , it about Winchester Cathedral,
Got one from the bookstall at  the  Supermarket Jo Brand’s  biography .
I feel I have read it many years ago but will find out won’t I.
I can’t see me reading with so many times a day —-
Cheerio, Viktoria.

Hello again
I do enjoy your news Viktoria , you are such a busy bee and cram so much into a day
I think tonight's Yorkshire farm was a repeat, I have always enjoyed  the programme which such lovely children .
I understand  you get stressed, feel the some sometimes,  my husband doesn't get stressed much at all, we are all made differently,  we are what we are.
I have a mystery, putting  things away today I found in a sandwich poly bag a gold  tooth, neither of us has ever had a gold tooth,  don't know anyone who owns one.
Had a lovely visit with my cousin, she has such a shrill voice I am sure my neighbours could hear her, I asked her to look in my glass cabinet to take anything  she wanted , she took a gold crystal boat, her dad worked on the lifeboats,  then my husband reminded me it was his, ooops!!, I was sure it was bought for me, he doesn't mind fortunately.

I’m not sure how much good it does when you make a formal complaint Viktoria.

I had  to make a number of official complaints through  PALS after three months in hospital, they included being left for ten hours without water when I was supposed to to be drinking  a lot of fluids because of a serious infection, I was called a liar my by a health care assistant when I complained and begged for water in the morning.  Also a nurse tried to force me to take tablets meant for another patient, she had not checked my wrist band, the person they were meant for was in a different ward. That could have been disastrous . I won’t bore you with the rest of my complaints.

Yes,many mistakes are made ,when Manchester Arndake Centre was blown up,a young expectant Mum was very seriously injured and her unborn baby was at serious risk, I had undergone a really big operation .
It was very hot weather ,I had a private room because we were in BUPA, from my husband’s job.
Told to drink at least 2 litres of water a day ,I had none for  36 hours ,each person who entered my room promised they would bring some iced water fir my empty bedside jug —- no one did, so I developed a severe urinary tract infection which was appalling ,went into kidney infection - I was off work three months.
I understood every one was busy but so many failing to do a simple job that was vital for a good recovery .
Everyone gets fresh water each morning.
I was hooked up to tubes and catheters and monitors so could do nothing for myself .

Sons have worked hard all day adapting the new shed for the scooter ,the entrance needed some support, the threshold will bear the brunt of the weight
so a little ramp to spread the stress.I ought to have asked for that adaptation .
Well another week starts tomorrow,I am at the Clinic ,at noon,  and  must sort out a hairdo l I always hate it when it is done but at the moment my medication is really taking it’s toll - limp yet very brittle, the hoover bag is always full of my hair !
Well goodnight all, hope you are all safe ,if not well then some improvement .

Night night .
Viktoria.
