Why not take out a free 7 day trial on FindMyPast or check if your local library has free access

I think I must have had a free trial in the past, and it won't accept my email address again. The descendant and I are both in Brisbane, Australia. I'm not sure our local libraries have FindMyPast subscriptions. But thanks for your ideas. Australian service records have not been privatised, so we are lucky.

What about using your friends email address for the free trial (as it's for his benefit)😂

I checked for library access to FindMyPast in Brisbane. The State Library of Queensland is the only one with FindMyPast access -- and it "contains 50 million online records for Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Papua New Guinea". No UK service records. I was after just the one file I specified and was hoping someone could pass it on, just this once. Thanks.

The RAF record is also on Ancestry (Fold 3)

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/61400/records/126021

To access from Australia you may have to change .co.uk to .com.au

Alternatively just search Ancestry for Arthur Jones with keyword 167034 in UK.

There's a 7 day free trial available on Fold 3 too.

Thanks Shaun,
My Ancestry subscription does not include access to that, unfortunately.
But I have managed to find what I was after due to the kindness of others.
Thanks to all who helped.
