Barnardo's Children in Diss, Norfolk - Gladys Nicholson

I'm trying to find background information on children who were listed as being Barnardo's Children and living in Diss at the time of the 1911 Census. There were six listed but one, a Gladys Nicholson, born 1898 in Clapham London, is a mystery to me. If anyone can offer any help in finding out about Gladys, or point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

Clapham came under Wandsworth RD.  Freebmd have an 1898 birth for a Gladys Eva BG Nicholson - GRO online shows mmn Smith

Thanks both for the replies. I have just been throught the info above. I don't think Gladys Eva is the same person but will keep this in mind. Would a solicitor's clerk have a daughter taken into a Barnardo's Home?

Cannot locate them in 1911 or 1921 & no likely deaths. A possible marriage of her sister Margaret in 1927, but nothing other than that.

Her mother remarried in 1915 Greenwich to William J Rice. Gladys is with them in 1921.

I got lucky Carole. On FindMyPast, I was looking at the marriage index for William J Rice and it offered me a 1921 hint that turned out to be the correct one. Only 3 people in the household.
