Oh K.G.!
I find that utterly disgraceful- to have to wait for a shunt -
It beggars belief that is is not seen as a priority.
What are  we coming to ?
I hope it is soon sorted for you.

Well folks Ihave to admit to an error—I was told my granddaughter and partner are getting married and baby Lily will be Baptised at the same ceremony ,what I was told was that the Vicar talked about Lily being baptised at the same time - I took that as meaning at the same or a following ceremony immediately after the wedding.
BUT no- he just talked about them  having the baby Baptised -on the same occasion the wedding was discussed with him!
Not a baptism at the time or immediately following the wedding.

-How daft can you get!

Well shed for scooter coming on same day as new gate ,that could be fun!

Watched an amazing documentary about China, there have been some on this week, the Great Wall, my oh my what a feat was that, thousands of miles !
And Michael Palin ‘s one showing Mongolia and the Northern Indian states.

Got some washing out and dryish  today,.on maiden now.
Have already done a big slow cook .
Another tomorrow for freezer ,will freeze in portions.
Handy to have in reserve.

Must check if I need another Tesco delivery of store cupboard things .
Imust say the use by dates in the store are very short but my delivery last weekend had a good while left on the use by dates ,I got chicken breast portions , pork scallops and salmon fillets .

Well to add to problems United Utilities  are raising prices ,fuel allowance gone- there will be real hardship for many who were just getting by and those already really struggling must be very worried.

Sad about the air crash on The Potomac, the icy water so cold there could be no survivors .

Now for some better news , the lovely sledge my son bought for Flash Harry and Kyra complete with toy reindeer and toys was a great success ,they are hoping for thick snow .
He did not get down for Christmas
Kyra is at Nursery four days a week now and loves it ,it is part of F.H’s school so an easy transition.
She needs to be kept busy ,!

Well a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit after a kitchen tidy and a Imust look for a home hair dresser ,I won’t be able to park my scooter near the one I usually go to ,big steep steps,,they are close by but I will look for a home visiting one.
I can manage a blow dry or set but it needs cutting and I like a light perm to thicken it up somewhat .
Hey ho, what it is to be old!

Look after yourselves folks.
Cheerio lViktoria.

With my washer, it's the stability / balance that causes it to bung up - it moves a little, and that messes it up, if I spin washing -which I don't often do.

During the washing cycles, each time the drum stops, the drum is supposed to start rotating in the opposite direction.

The drum direction rotation changes about every 1 to 2 minutes it seems.

However, with my new machine the drum was only rotating one way from start to finish, causing the washing to go into a ball.

This caused huge vibration trouble when the spin cycles started.

The 2nd Engineer replaced the Programmer and the fault was rectified.

We bought an inflatable mat to go between the work surface and the machine on our last machine as it did almost as Bushinn has described , our new one is more settled and we have used the inflator, I am convinced it is to do with the flooring

Off to next diary date

Thanks T,Y,it is not definite yet but I hope I an have one ,I am so very tired.

Well handrail not yet fitted, everything needed has been delivered and old rail taken away .
I have it on the calendar for  yesterday.
It is not a free service - £39 from Age UK, that is very cheap as all materials and labour included.
I do donate every month on standing order but that has nothing to do with the price.

A grey day but not too cold.

I am supposed to have means of contacting help with me each time I use the stairlift ——mobile phone etc—-something else to forget!

Hope all are safe and warm, just off for a cuppa, been busy upstairs so not had a drink yet - ah bliss -decaf Earl Grey ,has to be dc so it won’t fight with my Thuroxine tablets.
Cheerio, hope washing machine problems are sorted for those having troubles
with theirs..
I look back fondly to my Hoover Twin tub .all washing done in a day ,loads sorted as to colour and muckiness and rinsing in the spin tub,no sloshing about and a fraction of the electricity used for a modern one but - give me ease nowadays and my automatic really does that .
 Cheerio number  two!

Viktoria.

I am very guilty of mixing weeks up - just read and answer .I make so many errors I have to correct that sort of takes over .

Nice to keep a thread going into the following week(s) if it is particularly interesting. Doesn't bother me either. Life is too short to worry about these things.
