In 1841 Mary Jones and Nimrod Jones who are with the family in 1851 are in Swansea

I think that you can ignore that 1841 family as they are still in Swansea in 1851 and it looks as though that Nimrod dies in Swansea.

According to an online tree Alexander is an older brother of Nimrod and Archibald, their mother is Mary.  They quote a baptism for Alexander in Ruabon 28th March 1824 with parents Mary & John.
They don't have the family in 1841

I also have a wedding certificate for a Thomas Jones and an Elizabeth Roberts dated 30/09/1842 Thomas is a batchelor his father being John Jones a farmer Elizabeths father is Robert Roberts also a farmer, the church appears to be in Llandrith yr Rhos in Denbighshire.

Q1 any thoughts and whether the wedding is of my Thomas who in 1871 is living in Bilston.
Q2 any thoughts as to the Baptism given that the fathers on all 3 were not John but Thomas.

I do not believe that you have the correct wedding for Thomas bn Alberbury and Elizabeth who both appear to have been born late 1700's.  In 1851 their daughter is 19.  IF the 1841 for Oxford Street is the correct family then they also have a son Thomas born c1828 .

Possible baptisms as we know how common the name of Jones can be

St Leonards, Bilston -
19th April 1829 - Thomas son of Thomas and Elizabeth.  Fathers occ Labourer

Anne bapt 22nd April 1832 parents Thomas and Elizabeth

(There are other baptisms in Bilston around the same time with parents Thomas and Elizabeth but they state fathers occupation as 'Pudler')  ::)

You are definitely correct with the wedding being incorrect the wedding details confirm that brides father was a John Jones records from Alberbury suggest that our Thomas's father was another Thomas, I have checked the census's I have for the family in Bilston with Elizabeth being from Minera which is to the West of Wrexham and to the North of Ruabon, Thomas was born and baptised in Alberbury and the family have links with Ruabon, so all I need to find is where Thomas and Elizabeth were married the eldest child seems to have been baptised in April 1829 in Bilston at St Leonards, so it seems possible that either St Mary's or St Leonards in Bilston could be the scene of the crime, I have so far failed to find the 1861 census for either Thomas and Elizabeth or the daughter Ann and her husband Alexander, I have Alexander and Ann at Penegros near Machynlleth in 1871, there is also a wedding in Alberbury with a Thomas Jones and a Elizabeth Williams 30/12/1828 which may be a bit close to the eldest childs baptism in Bilston 19/04/1829 so I will pursue with diligence amongst other things.. thank you for your help
