Fraser-Macleods of Lochbroom
« on: Saturday 18 January 25 08:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I came across a discussion between Jorejim & Gadget about Donald Macleod/Mcleod who left Achiltibuie region to go to Chile. I am related to this family, and many of the names mentioned are part of my family. I am hoping to get in touch with Jorejim.

Have you checked this link:

"This album is a collection of my wife´s ancestors gravestones pictures. Her great grandfather was Donald Macleod born in Polglass 1853, who died in Chile in 1918. His parents are in the first picture: Hugh Macleod and Annabella Fraser."

Thankyou Sildeag, yes, these Frasers & some of the Macleods are my relations. The closest one is Alexander Fraser, the teacher, who was my GG Grandfather's younger brother. Is there any way I can get in contact with Jorge?

Uzfra, did you manage to get in touch with Jorge Reyes with the email address I sent using 'MY MESSAGES'?  There is also a Norman McLeod Faser (or Frasser) born in 24 January 1862 Coigach, parents Hugh McLeod and Ann McLeod (nee McLeod) who went to Chile.

Hi

I've just noticed this.

I had quite a lot of info on Coigach - and especially  Polglass.I would think that it included some of the info mentioned here.  I'm not sure where it is now but I;ll check to see if I still have a contact who might know.

I'm not too well at the moment but will try my best to find a link for you.

Hi again

It's probably best if you contact one of the members : don_niagara

He researched and produced all the census, etc. info that others on this thread have linked to. It seems to not be online anymore.
