3 words in Latin
« on: Tuesday 14 January 25 01:22 GMT (UK) »
I have found the same three words recurring in a parish marriage register from the late 1580s and hope someone with knowledge of Latin can kindly advise what it says.

Please see the attached screen shot.

Firstly, is it:   Nupit in Vyorem   /   Nupit in Vyocem  / something completely different?

Next, what is the best English translation?

Thank you

The words are:  duxit in uxorem

Translation:  he took as his wife or [name] took as his wife
