The one i see in 1939 electoral registers is at 140, Ridgacre Lane.

Which record do you have?

In 1939, there are two entries for the couple.
The one you mention ‘Hope House’ with lots of redacted entries and the other address.

There was a Hope Lodge mother and baby home but those entries are visible.

The Ridgeacre Lane entries have a marginal note on the 1939 to see page 7 book 2.  There appear to be amendments to both entries on the later page aswell as several other names between the entries.  I suggest the Ridgeacre Lane address is correct and the transcription of Hope House refers to an earlier entry on the later page.
