Martyn Freeth of Shropshire FH Society who sadly died in 2012.

From Commonwealth war graves site (World War 2)

1. Henrietta Florence Elisha , civilian war dead, died 9th October 1944, commemorated in Hornsey borough cemetery.   (Henrietta may have been the victim of a V1)

2. RAF pilot Frederick Charles Elisha, died 21 March 1943, commemorated at Runnymede Memorial.

Sorry ! Frederick Charles Elisha was Flying Officer rank and the Wireless Operator of HX575 Wellington which crashed into the sea in 1943.  He was not the pilot.

Evan Elisha married Ann Griffiths (namesake is a Methodist   hymn writer and poet), sons Samuel & John,  Samuel's son. Edward.

Of 63,000 Elias entries over 90% are in the Netherlands, Belgium or Northern France.

Doesn't that make the Reformation/ Counter Reformation important in our general understanding ?

Just for reference, there is a Scottish Clan sept of Ellias, Ellice associated with Clan Dundas and also Macpherson.
