Im looking to find parents of Elizabeth Stokes 1863 born sheffield, her husband is Frank Cousins married in 1888. thank you  :)

The marriage cert is online and lists her father is listed as Thomas Stokes - Forge Man

Should have added her age was 27 - so born about 1861

FreeBMD does not show any birth registrations for Elizabeth Stokes in 1863 - or did you mean 1873?  There is an entry in December quarter 1873 - GRO give mother's maiden name as Hingley.

After her marriage the 1891 census appears to show her birthplace as possible Scotland?  Sadly it looks like  she dies pre the 1901 census

Posting this as a possibility worth at looking - a family living in 1881 at 339, Caledonian Road, Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland They originate in England with father Thomas an Iron Worker :-\

Looks like her mother was a Miss Guy.Marriage Shifnal 9.1.1854

wit William Guy and Ellen Brown.
Sarah remarried 6.11.1880 Attercliffe to a Thomas Tetley 50 widower engineer which may be why I can't see Elizabeth 1881.

No sign of Scotland though.

Sorry I was typing while Kay replied  but it does look like same family .Odd remarriage .Library about to shut so I can't check.

Well - I am confused.  However I think this is family in 1891 that I posted in 1881 - living in Barony, Kelvi.  Their daughter Elizabeth is still living with the family so I don't think it can be the Elizabeth Stokes  who married Frank Cousins :-\
