I think it's Cooke St, but I can't make out the other name.

It looks like Coke St (in Norwood).

May I ask where the snip is from? - it might be easier to read on the original.

Thank you maddy and izzy. That make sense. Could the second part read "this" - maybe it was sayng the previous school was this school?

That looks like Queen Street. Not sure about "this" as previous school? Can you give us the reference for the original? Is it from family search?

The "this"//// It is a school record from Norwood school from 1880s and is in the column Previous School

The other one is again from a Norwood school record and hte column residence - it could be Queen st as there is a queen st in Norwood

Sorry, I meant can you post a link to the original image so that we can see the whole page? Sometimes it's easier to get a sense of the style of writing seeing a larger example.
