Hi,

I just wondered if anyone out there can help me translate the Will of Henry Lloyd Esq who died in 1853 in Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England.  His sister, Julie Ann, married a Frenchman, Théodore de Trémereuc, (sometimes Théodore de Trémereuc de Léhen).   In Henry's Will he mentions the children of his deceased sister, Julie Ann. The children seem to be named Edward de Trémereuc, Clara de Trémereuc, Elizabeth de Trémereuc, and Edmund de Trémereuc.    Each time Edward's name is recorded is a word that looks something like 'Victor' but I am unsure if this is part of his name or another word entirely.   Any help gratefully received.

Freebmd is only showing 2 Henry Lloyd deaths in Gloucs in 1853.  18yrs old and a 1yr old.  Is 1853 the correct year?

The probate is dated 1853, certainly. I've looked at the image of the will and agree that word does look very like Victor. Maybe it was part of his name, not always used.

I note there's a Victor Edouard De Tremereuc buried in St Pancras in 1798 - suggests that could be a family name?

Thanks for your responses. The probate date is 21/06/1853 so it is possible he died a year or so before that.  Thanks for the heads up regarding Victor Edouard De Tremereuc buried in St Pancras in 1798.

Not sure how reliable this tree is, but it suggests Theodore and Julie's son was also Victor Eduoard
