I since found a Robert Grimwade wed Ann Clark in Naughton, Suffolk in 1775, and that is not far from Kersey. A marriage license says he was single and aged 28, of Semer, and Ann was aged 30 of Naughton. So unlikely to be the parents of Mary Grimwood born c1767.
This Rob Grimwade who wed Ann Clarke in 1775 in Naughton are probably the same couple who had children in Kersey from 1776 onwards. Rob could have been an older brother or cousin of Mary born c1767 but it seems to be quite a common surname in Suffolk as said.
The witnesses to the 1789 marriage of Mary Grimwood in Kersey to Thos Everett may provide a clue. Witnesses Thos Sheercroft and John Parsons.
