Good morning folks
Having a can't sleep night so I might as well make myself useful.

Unbelievable  that this is the last week of the year.

Hope everyone who was travelling  travelled  safely and either got to their destination or back home.

We appear to be forecast  snow towards the end of the week, I do hope not, if so I am in, I don't  travel by car or on foot in the snow.

It has been very quiet  locally but there aren't many youngsters about, not so many years ago we would see them  with their prams or bicycles,  perhaps they are indoors playing on their new games,  a shame in my opinion .

Take care, keep well and warm

Good heavens, it's a new week already! Every day seems to be a Sunday lately.

Getting colder and very windy today, the nearby field was populated by dozens of gulls this morning, it always amuses me to see them all facing in the same direction.  :)

Well had a visit from Flash Harry and Kyra,Grandson and G.Daughter in law.
They have all been unwell, bad coughs etc and F.H. Was quite tired ,Kyra not so much.
She groomed her little horse ,and then git fed up so went for the crayons ,felt tips, chalks etc I always have in .
Liked her nightie with “ My Grandma loves me” on the front.
Could not find a beastie in the garden for F,H to inspect with his magnifying glass and jeweller’s spy .
He was really off colour .
Videos of baby Lily, really laughing now, it seems early but proper laughter.
Grand daughter send them regularly .

Well all quiet now, can’t believe it is almost another year.
Christmas cards about half I usually get,at my age some friends will have sadly passed away and postage costs will have deterred others.

I had fun yesterday evening looking at stair lifts and mobility scooters .
After my latest escapade — rushed to hospital Christmas Day with very rapid heart beat -assessed for ability to use stairs etc - so a lift is the best way now.I think most pavements now have slopes not a drop so that is easier ,I must find a way to have shelter for the scooter, have a brick shed ( but don’t think it is big enough )right near the kitchen door ,will need a ramp to mount the step out of the garden to the lane .
I had a moped in Belgium,we lived out in the sticks, some shops not far away but a huge supermarket ten minutes by moped.I could also visit friends atwenty minute ride away ,with my little girl in a seat with leg guards,we whizzed through the lovely lanes .
Wouldn’t even think of that now.

Son down at head office ,not sure if he will cross country to see his sister,we were to go  although I was reluctant for a few reasons  and  it is a good job we didn’t .
As I was being put in the ambulance on Christmas Day a past pupil was going down to the cemetery ,her Mum and Dad’s grave, she shouted across”What some people will do to get out  of making Christmas Dinner !”
I was taken to Wythenshaw Hospital.
Well back home and more medicines to take.
A telephone chat with the Consultant at Fairfield this week, might be about the wrong prescription I was given  in September when last in hospital “ not if there has been a recent heart attack “—- Isosorbide Mononitrate .”
I was given it the same day!
I don’t really want to slam the NHS but am being asked to make a formal complaint  as obviously it could well be detrimental to me and maybe very dangerous to others .It seems it is the prescriber who needs to be checked .

Just enjoying a calm morning ,not even looked outside yet ,must check if there are any more ohotis ,only about a thousand yet!
She looks like her Daddy,a big blond Scandinavian looking lad, well in his thirties but grand daughter  has very dark hair and brown eyes like her mum and me ,so we will see.Kyra is obsessed with Lily .
They are all very close ,it is nice.

Well a cup of tea and tackle the day .
No idea where I will be on New Year’s day ,plenty of food in stock and so won’t starve although I don’t feel like cooking and my son in Bolton needs a break he has done all the running about for me as other son had to get a computer security check done down at head office in Surrey.
He was to drop me off at My daughter’s in Suffolk, then go on to Surrey, and go back to Suffolk -stay  a few days and then we would come home .
I am looking up assisted train travel ,I did it once before when I was incapacitated ,had torn a muscle in my thigh and walking was really difficult - felt a real fraud in a wheelchair !

Well , I hope the New Year is good to you all , some still in deep grief ,and even time does not really help ,we never forget our loved ones nor should
we ..” Love’s last gift — Remembrance”.
Very best wishes to you all for Peace in 2025.
Viktoria.

So pleased you are back onboard Viktoria, you must get as much help as you can to help you, might mean you have to slow down which  you might find difficult  but you must.

Shame the little ones were under par but these things can't be helped, lots of different things flying about  including covid, perhaps it was to cold for the beatles to be out in the garden .

I like the jokers remarks on Christmas day, well I thought it was funny.

Did receive a late Christmas card from someone who I hadn't sent to, oh dear!, must remember next time,  my cousin died in December and it hit me when I was looking at my Christmas cards list, another one off the list again, getting less and less each year.

I started my housework at 10am then thought next door might not be up, so will leave the rest till after 11 ish I think, don't want to upset anyone although I don't think they would be so considerate.

Safe yourney to all who are travelling  today.

Very dull and miserable after such a nice day yesterday, sun shone till quite late.

Take care

LM

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Being in New Zealand we celebrated nearly 10 hours ago. A nice fine but windy day.
All the best for the New Year.

I realise I am late with my good wishes for some,  it is 9pm here in England,  we have 3 hours to go, we are home alone and it really feels as if something is going to hapien, but it isn't really is it, just goodbye  to one year and welcome another.

Not much happened here. 11.55pm all quiet. Midnight yelling and fireworks till 3 am.
Just need to put 2025 instead of 2024 and another year older.
Way past celebrating. Will leave that to the younger generation.
