Regards the Archives for Poor Law Records, are these available online to view, I can only find references to them being held locally and not digitised, although I can find most of the info I need without.

Some replies have caused further questions, on looking at the reference to Thomas that died aged 3, I can find no record of any such baptism around this time. I did find a further child buried aged 0 (John August 1799), again with no sign of any baptism.

Having read a few other threads re burials without baptisms people have suggested this would be the case with still born, but that they would rarely if at all be named, so I'm at a loss on these two.

So I've found a Thomas Boulton bap 1719 in Whitchurch, but that would make him 35 when he married (wife Margaret being 27)

Seems promising

Now to look for burials to see if they lend any further support to this
