I took a look in the Kirk Session records and found no records available for that time period. (perhaps you would have to contact the parish, itself?).
There is a possibility for a death registered in 1857 in Bathgate, West Lothian for an ISABELLA Fraser, aged 33 (ie. born c. 1824). The age is "close" to your Elizabeth, the time frame would be logical for her widowed husband to remarry in 1858 and Bathgate is only 10 miles from Carriden. Interpretation of "bad handwriting" in the death record could result in Isabella as Elizabeth, in reality.
The only way to check would be to pay and download the image. Your choice, obviously.
