Just encouraging contributions to the new week's diary.  :)

Very glad to hear from Mowsehowse in last week's diary, well done MH on your progress, onward and upwards!

Also pleased to hear the news of Caroline's family, that must be such a relief.

We haven't heard from River Tyne Lass on the diary threads for some time, I hope all is well with you RTL.

Hoping all illnesses and ailments improve.  :)

It's been a cold one today on the North East Coast but our forecast for tomorrow is 13 degrees!

Hi Roobarb,
Yes, all is well with me.  I have kept meaning to pop on here but it has felt quite a hectic time with Christmas coming up and it is easy to not be able to catch up/keep up with all the news.
Congratulations Viktoria on new Baby Lily!  How exciting to have another addition in your family.
I am sorry that your progress is going slower than you would like Mowsehowse but I am glad you are well enough to post on here. :)
I have had two Christmas meals already and have another two coming up this week.  Good thing I like sprouts. ;)  I am on holiday now until the weekend and will be going away for Christmas tomorrow so I wish you all a Merry Christmas now and will look forward to catching up again in the New Year. :)

Lovely to hear from you RTL and so pleased you’re having a well deserved rest from work…
Enjoy all your Christmas meals… personally I can do without sprouts although they do taste better than in days gone by!

Thanks Roobarb, I can tell you it is a big relief all round although long way to go getting all the meds right. Did you watch Portrait Artist of the Year?!!!

It’s been pretty nippy down south too the last couple of days so will be pleased to see the temps up a bit… sorry if some would like a white Christmas though.
Thankfully no travelling for us this year… family coming on 28th gone to in-laws till then.

Happy Christmas to everyone

Great to hear all is well with you RTL and how lovely to be getting away for Christmas. Have a fab time.  :D
(I love sprouts!)

Caroline,  yes I did watch Portrait Artist. What can I say?!!  ;D
Well I can't say I was impressed by the winning artist's portrayal of the lovely Joely Richardson as a witch! And again for the female sitter in the final. Or by the fact that all of the paintings produced by the winner were more like caricatures than portraits.
However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that he could produce a proper portrait of Lorraine Kelly, even though I wouldn't have been able to identify her from it!
I do think the judges go too far with their search for something a bit more 'out there', particularly when they're presented with such stunning and almost ethereal portraits as those by the female finalist.

To all a very Merry Christmas.

I have gone from 3 days a week on dialysis (4 hrs each time) to 2 days a week still 4 hrs.

Glad to hear Mousehouse is making slow progress and Caroline's daughter-in-law has a new Kidney.
Victoria enjoy your new addition to your family. RTL enjoy your holiday, you deserve it. To everyone else with health issues, I hope improvement is on the way in 2025.
Here's to a great New Year.

Love the picture Mare… it reminds me of Musick Point near Bucklands Beach where my son used to live.. we’d cycle up through the golf course and sit on a bench just like that one watching all the ferries and shops passing! Happy memories.
Hope you have a great Christmas in the sunshine.

Best wishes to everyone for the season and New Year. Thank you all for your kind comments regarding my son and daughter in law, she’s now home.
