Thanks for all the replies. I had thought all 3 businesses involved confectionary but obviously not. Plumbing, interesting. Also a new address to investigate, Thomas Lane. Thanks again to all who have replied,
Paul.

Thoms 1911 Add the following
16 Thomas Lane (off Cathedral Street) O'Shea and Liddy Lime and sand stores
Does the prior ownership of 37 Amiens Street interest you?

Thank you for the further replies.
Felix, yes I would like to know previous ownership in case of a family connection.
Kiltaglassan, thanks for the map. I have walked passed Thomas Lane many times but never gone through it.
Paul.

Dear City Hall
The Irish Times 14th September 1888 Page 8 in an advertisement shows;

Note Garrett Murtagh had an address _ 36 Amiens St. see 3/9/1877 Page 3 Advert.
Both Nos 15 Gt Denmark Street and 54 Upper Dorset Street were held under 900 year leases but
no names were given.
Some details on the origin of Amiens Street can be given if requested.
