I try to use the mantra "never make assumptions".

I also have to sat that sometimes I do!

Now to FS, I with Geln in Tinsel !! I`ve occasionally  looked at some trees, but it "does" raise the blood pressure.

I changed one referrring to my gt grandfather which had his death in the wrong place, another county altogether. I definitely know it was wrong as I have all his certs.

There are, however, some records that are only viewable at Family Search Affiliate Libraries and/or FamilySearch Centres. I imagine there are some FamilySearch Affiliate Libraries in Ireland to help with that, and there must be at least a few FS Centres.

"

When I was staying near Limavady Co Derry I spent lots of time at the Family History Library at Coleraine.  Look up to see where you can check the records at a Family search centre.  Family search plus irish Genealogy plus various specialist records -Tithes, Griffiths, censuses, parish records  are all i need for searching in ireland.  I prefer FS over Ancestry for this.

I can't see the documents,  I'm from Ireland

I'm from Ireland too, and have found images of documents on Family Search. As stated in an earlier post, some images have to be accessed at a Family Search Centre, but I've never done that. In my experience, the site has been really good for researching family who emigrated to America.

I haven't looked at the trees though.
