Note that the second administrator for Emile Simon was Marcelle Audrey Simon, spinster. In 1939 Emile Simon's widow is living in Margate. A person named Marcelle A Whiting is at the same address, marital status obscured by a blot, but probably M. There follow two redactions.

Added: just realised that you knew all about Marcelle!

Marriage of Barthelemy's parents in Nizza (Nice) on 23 August 1859 (in Italian).

Giacomo (= Jacques) SIMON and Teresa (Thérèse) AUDA on 23 August 1859.

His parents = Gio Battisto ( = Jean Baptiste) SIMON and Antonia (= Antoinette) TORDO
Her parents = Antonio (= Antoine) AUDA and Dorotea (= Dorothée) REVELAT.

Nice was finally ceded to France in 1860 by the Treaty of Turin and ratified by referendum.

Lots of people have put a great deal of time and effort into researching for you. Could you please let us know whether any of the information found has been useful so that we can carry on looking or know that we are digging up info you already have or are not interested in?
