Hello, does anyone know what the word is under Hugh Muirhead, please.
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

You haven't given a date or location, but a
meter
was someone who weighed goods (such as grain, foodstuffs etc.) for loading/unloading at the docks or quayside.
