It is dreadful isn't it!

The last letters look a bit like 'dlar' or dlan' at the moment. But I can't think of anywhere in Lancs ending like that.

One transcription has it as "Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire" which I'm not sure I believe.

After comparing the 'a' and 'o' in "labourer" I think it may actually be 'Barton' rather than 'Bolton'. The 'a' in "labourer" has the same hard upper stroke on the right-side that it does on the second letter of the place name.
