 I have an ancestor

George Gault/Galt born 1868 Partick Parents William Galt and Jane Freckleton

married Mary Kinney/Kenny 1895 Partick her parents Andrew Kinney and Maria/Mary Golden/Goldie

George died 14/5/1933 130 Castlebank street Partick ( Mary widow present)

Mary died 8/4/1932 widow of George  Gault at 130 Castlebank Street Partick

My question is how could she be present at her husband George death if she was all ready dead her self :o
I have looked for the possibility that i have made a mistake. but all information on parents and addresses all match up.
Have I missed something or has there been and error  when recording death .

Can you please post a clip of the informant’s section of George’s death certificate?

I cannot see the entry for Mary in 1932 on Scotland’s people index

Could George have had a second wife also named Mary?

Is Mary's death in 1932 recorded under her maiden name of Kenny??

That woman's other indexed surname is McNEE.

I copied the information down some time ago  Mary Gault widow of George Gault, general dealer d.o.d 8/4/1932,  130 Castlebank Street, 61 years, parents Andrew Kinney and Maria Golden both deceased sister catherine was informant,

i wonder if I have the year of her death wrong as it was some time ago when I used to research at park circus ,when I took the information down. I will look again.

I think she died 1934, age 61 in Govan

Mary Gault or Kenny with same ref number

Think I have found the answer in Scotlands people index.

Two entries....
Mary Gault age 61, 1934, Govan 644/21/295

searched also under maiden name .
Mary Kenny age 61, 1934, Govan 644/21/295
I have no credits to open the documents right now so will do this later and hopefully I have found the right one
