Meaning of letters on WW1 Medal Card
« on: Friday 22 November 24 19:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Just looking at Medal Card for Irish member of Royal Naval Reserve during WW1.

I know that under the Medals section

St  = 1914-15 Star    /    V = Victory medal   /   B = British War Medal

All six brothers received the Victory Medal and the British War Medal. **

In the 'How Issued or disposed of' column what does the 'S' stand for?
