Senior moment
« on: Friday 15 November 24 08:27 GMT (UK) »
In my excitement at being able to download several 1921 censuses last weekend from FindMyPast I forgot that the addresses weren’t on the same sheet! Does anyone know if I would be able to get these from FindMyPast when accessing via the library.
Thanks
Jo

As I have no experience of using a library  computer, I'm mainly replying to bump this thread up the list. Hopefully  someone will be able to help.
Meanwhile if you have a free FindMyPast account that you can access at home and you use the same details at the library, have you looked at My Records to see if they are there.

Hello
If you search for the entry you want and then click on the Transcript ,the address is on there at the top. It's just above the list of inhabitants.

If you want the actual form/image.
Look at the entry and below it is a menu  on the right handside -thumbnails,Extras(address),Transcripts ,Close Film
The extras does have a map as well.

Hope that helps and Happy hunting!

I too got carried away last weekend downloading copies of the 1921 Census  ;). The address for the families is on a different page as you mention.

I have since had to place a couple of requests on the forums for help after downloading the 1921 Census details and have been fortunate enough to get answers to the queries I raised from some kind forumers  ;D

I no longer have subscription to FindMyPast, this elapsed sometime ago. If I need any information or details I also use my local library. The last time I used the library version of FindMyPast it was exactly the same format as the FindMyPast records that I accessed over the weekend at home. Once you load the 1921 Census page you are after you should notice an arrow on the right side of your computer screen about half way up. You may have to "hover" your mouse in that region to locate it/highlight it. When you find the arrow, click on it. This will take you to the page showing the name of the person responsible for making the return together with postal address ( although in two or three of my cases there was no property number or road/street/avenue name given just the name of the village they lived in ).

Hope this helps  ;)

Good luck Steve

Thank very much for all you replies, it looks as though I can get the information I need from the library copy, which will save me subscribing. I’ve just got to make a list of exactly what I need.
Thanks again for everyone's help

Just to confirm the version you can access via a library has exactly the same information for the 1921 census as the regular online version.

The only thing you (probably) can't do is to access the site while logged in to your own personal account, unless you are using your own device.
