How do I attach an old photo which is badly in need of restoration?

Rosemary, on the front page of the photos board the last 2 "sticky" posts give detailed instructions on how to post an image. They're quite detailed, so you might be able to skip over a lot of it and just read the bits that you aren't familiar with. If you have any specific questions that aren't covered in the those posts, just ask here.

A unique name and the size limit are the things to watch I would suggest

If it is this one then it has worked (and got some excellent restores). Think it needed cropping to just the photo!
