I looked at the FindMyPast record, they also have a copy of the son's death certificate on his records.

hi I have the death cert on forces war records, just the bit about Hull cricket pavilion I can't find looks like I joined the wrong site?cheers

You can buy individual records from FindMyPast with a free account. As I have a subscription at the moment I can't see how much it will be. Previous records have cost me 50p-£1.50 (except 1921 census) You get the price before you commit so nothing to lose.
I got a 4 page military record for £1, this is much bigger (24 pages).

It is on the second page (for me) and the box has a number 8 and says :-

Certificate to be signed by the soldier on discharge.
I hereby acknowledge that I have received all my pay and allowances (including clothing allowance), and all just demands up to the present date, subject to the reservations of the claims noted on the 3rd page.
Place: Cricket Pavilion, Hull; Signature of Soldier: Henry Foreman; Date: 9th June 1917; Signature of Witness: W Freer, R.S.M.
(When a soldier is absent through illness or any other cause, and it is not desirable to forward these proceedings to him for a signature, a manuscript copy should be sent for the man to sign, and when returned should be attached here.)

Thanks for all the help I have been over the papers I got from Forces war records site and that page is missing I am waiting for a response from them,

further to finding out that records on forces site were incomplete I will now search for, Henry  via his unit 27 AA RGA stationed at Hull.

thanks for the info,I have info for the victory medal, service medal and war badge, after Henry was medically  discharged, I appreciate   al the help I have been given on here.
