Findmypast is free this weekend and 'that couple' do appear, they married 4th May 1842 in Llandudno. The image is available to view. The occupation on that record for John is Husbandman

From FreeReg - possible:
St Peblig, Llanbeblig - 1 October 1845
John Hughes and Margaret Jones
Image on FindMyPast show John's occupation as Shoemaker and age as "Minor"
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids. They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
