Probate copying at NSW Archives, Kingswood
« on: Thursday 07 November 24 08:31 GMT (UK) »
We were blessed for a while to have a Rootschat member in Sydney who offered to photograph other people's probate packets when she was going to NSW Archives at Kingswood. She was very generous with her time but moved away from Sydney and so could no longer help other people. I have now found an 1826 probate file that I would dearly love to have copied and wondered if anyone was offering a similar service. Message me privately for details, if you wish. Thanks, Geoff Turner

I dont know if this will help.

Find My Past are having a "freebie" weekend. They have in their Australian collection "New South Wales Will Books 1800-1952"where I have found lots of wills,

Cass

Thanks Cass. We ordered the file from the Archives which they say will take about three weeks and cost $50, or more if it's a long one. But I'll try Find My Past.
