Death of Thomas Peters
« on: Wednesday 06 November 24 23:34 GMT (UK) »
Good evening
I’ve been searching for the death of Thomas Peters D.O.B 1831
I’ve found his son’s death 1946 Buried St Mary Church Lover Wiltshire
And I believe his children are also there but not sign of his father Thomas.
Thank you for any help
Jenny

So
A chimney sweep
Born Hampshire, no place given on 1861
Wife Ann 19 born Dean, Hampshire
Son Job 1. Born Burbage, Wiltshire

GRO has MMN as BULL

Are these siblings?

PETERS, ABIGAIE       BULL
GRO Reference: 1861  S Quarter in STOCKBRIDGE  Volume 02C  Page 69
PETERS, LAVINIA       BULL
GRO Reference: 1864  D Quarter in STOCKBRIDGE  Volume 02C  Page 84

What about these ones?

PETERS, GOLIAH       BULL
GRO Reference: 1865  M Quarter in AMESBURY  Volume 05A  Page 184
PETERS, WALTER       BULL
GRO Reference: 1867  S Quarter in HUNGERFORD  Volume 02C  Page 238

I see the son Job’s marriage in 1894, says father is deceased.

Where is Job in 1871?

1871 Joseph, Abigail & Lavinia are in the household (on Hill in a Tent) of
Henry Cooper 43, travelling wife smith
Harriett Cooper 40 wife
Joseph 12 chimney sweep
Abigail 9
Lavinia 7

Relationship to head unknown.
Births of them all also unknown

Or are these another Peters family of Sweeps? There do seem to be a fair few!

Goliah & Walter are in Burbage, Wilts 1871 as BULL?
But their mother is named Keziah BULL not Ann. No indication of married, widowed etc.
What do you know about that family group?

The previous household are named COOPER. How are they connected to Henry & Harriett?

Yes, (living in a tent under a tilt)  I’ve been waiting for OP to get back with actual information she knows.
In that 1871 census with Keziah there is an Edward age 14

Think this is his birth
PETERS, EDWARD       BOLE
GRO Reference: 1861  D Quarter in AMESBURY  Volume 05A  Page 156

His baptism ..son of Thomas & Keziah.  Gypsy tent on Wiltshire Downs. Itinerant sweep.  Dec 17th 1861

BOLE = BULL?

This seems like a complicated group of families.
